Tator Tot Casserole is simple, quick and kid friendly. Although the Girl usually only eats the tator tots off the top!
Cascadian Farms tator tots are gluten free and delicious - yay!
Tator Tot Casserole
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbls cornstarch
1 tsp gluten free beef bouillon
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 cup frozen peas
1/2 - 2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag of frozen tator tots
Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
Warm the milk and cornstarch in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occationally until it starts to thicken. Then add the beef bouillon and thyme and stir constantly until it reaches the desired thickness.
Stir the sauce and peas into the browned beef and leave over heat until the peas are warm. Pour into a small casserole dish. Top with shredded cheese, then tator tots.
Bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes, until the tator tots are browned.
